How It Works.

The most common questions about training, ACFT scoring, and the dragon.

Is the ACFT calculator free?+
The ACFT score calculator is included in the app. Slide each event's reps/time and see your projected score for all six events (MDL, SPT, HRP, SDC, PLK, 2MR) in real time — same scoring tables the Army uses.
Does it sync with Apple Health?+
Yes. Body Builder reads weight, workouts, and heart rate from Apple Health and writes your training sessions back. Works seamlessly with Apple Watch.
What does the dragon companion do?+
The dragon grows through 5 stages — Egg, Hatchling, Juvenile, War Dragon, Inferno — based on how consistently you hit your goal pace on runs. It's a visual progression system. Hit your pace, the dragon ignites. Skip workouts, it goes dormant.
How is the workout plan structured?+
Seven days, six events. Each day targets one or two ACFT events with progressive overload. Designed for soldiers preparing for the ACFT but works for any tactical athlete training general strength and conditioning.
Does it work for non-Army athletes?+
Yes. The ACFT events translate well to general tactical fitness (deadlift, sprint-drag-carry, plank, 2-mile run). You don't need to be active duty to benefit from the program.
What's the intermittent fasting feature?+
A built-in IF timer supporting 18:6, 16:8, and 20:4 protocols with a fast calendar showing your streak. Lives alongside the workout plan because nutrition is half of body composition.
Can I track weight goals?+
Yes. Body Builder uses TDEE-based math to forecast your goal-date for weight loss or gain, factoring in your training volume. Updates as your weight trend changes.
